Had to show off the quality of my new Samsung “smart camera” (wi-fi compatible, pretty nifty). In a previous post I mentioned choosing between Nikon and canon, but as you can see I didn’t go with either.
Anyways, mixed it up a little for Christmas dinner with sushi (homemade, thanks Pops!)..No raw fish for me though! These babies are filled with avocado, bell pepper, carrot, green onion, and pickled ginger. 💮
And then here’s me Christmas afternoon, playing around with the new cam (makeup free, might I add).. Thank goodness for a mini tripod and timer!
Um, can we be friends? Lovin’ this💛
Yeah, the name of this pie is a little overwhelming, but I made this for thanksgiving and it was a big hit. Highly recommend. Nutritious + delicious + easy..? Seriously WHAT are you waiting for?🍰http://www.gluten-free-vegan-girl.com/2013/08/sinless-vegan-chocolate-raspberry-tart.html
Sorry Macklemore, but I liked thrift shopping before it was cool. First of all I love the cheap prices (no reason to go broke in order to look fab!), and second of all, you never know what you may find! The fact that 90% of the store items are hideous make a great find that much more exciting. Plus, UO (Urban Outfitters, duh!)/ D.I. (Deseret Industries.. Not so duh).. Once the outfit is on, can anyone really tell a difference? Happy shoppen.. Goood luckkk! ✨
Contrary to popular belief, I go to a school with a pretty diverse student body (especially considering the area!), which I think is so great. 🌏 I’m sure the fact that I spent my younger years in some pretty neat places has something to do with my enthusiasm at meeting friends of different cultures, and I am just fascinated by some of the people I have been lucky enough to get to know! Anyways, a perk of having all kinds of friends is the chance to try all kinds of new foods, I mean that’s the best part, right?!
Here’s a picture of some pretty bomb curry I made with an Asian friend of mine (he’s actually from NYC.. That’s as exotic as it gets right?!)
Not only did this provide me with a delicious, hot, restaurant- style meal, but I was able to use up a bunch of perishable groceries as well, it being the end of the semester and all. Can I get a, “win-win”?! 😉
And, speaking of different kinds of foods.. Vegan food counts as a different culture right, I mean that’s as weird as it gets..?! 😛
Shoutout to the Christmas lights at temple square! Forgot how beautiful Salt Lake City is this time of year. I love to see the temple, and I love having the gospel in my life to keep me in track with prioritizing/ decision- making and simply trying my hardest to be the best that I can be!
PS~ and I love reuniting with friends (as seen in pic #2). Having moved way more than the average bear (haha who says that🐻) I get plenty of opportunities to catch up with- and miss- dear friends of mine. Yay!
